My Special Presentation at Stocklmeir Elementary

Lessons from a Math Fest talk in Cupertino: have fun trying new things, take risks, and never give up.

Last Friday I was invited as a special presenter at Stocklmeir Elementary School in Cupertino to explain my game CoderBunnyz at their Math Fest. I shared how I came up with the story of CoderBunnyz, what I am learning from my venture, and some of the game tokens and the board. When I got there, I met a really nice girl who gave me a stuffed panda, their animal logo. It was really cute.

Once the presentation was over, lots of kids came to my game table, asked questions and played CoderBunnyz. It was a fun evening with 200+ people.

What I have learned so far

  • Have fun while doing new things.
  • Take risks.
  • Listen to your parents.
  • Most important of all: don’t give up!
